Brights and Dims on the HIDs / Noises

Real quick guys, has anyone noticed a noise coming from the headlights when you switch from High and Low beams? (HIDs)

Mine has a noise. Not a concern unless I'm the only one. Not sure how the lenses open up so I'm sure it's normal. You have to turn everything off and listen to hear it so again not a big deal I just want to make sure.

Is it just when you switch...or is it constant?

It happens when you go from Normal to Bright and Bright to Normal. It is the lenses changing for the intensity used for each level.

Never heard a noise on mine...not really listening for something like that but like greenrail said, I'm sure it's just the lenses changing. Wouldn't even think it would be something wrong...

Only when I switch.

That's what I figured (hoped) but didn't know if it should be noticeably heard.

I'm pretty possitive it's nothing wrong, just wanted to be sure.

This is normal for Bi-Xenon Projector style headlights. The sound you hear is the solenoid moving the shade that cuts off part of the light stream when you have your low beams on.

Here's a Youtube video that shows the shade in action...

Super rare.. lol... Actually she is looking at herself in the mirror putting some makeup on. (Those other Camaro's don't know how to put their makeup on properly which is why some of the front fascia's are off color) . It is only fitting that I show her the way she sees herself
