Service Airbag warning at 1200 miles.

I am hoping this is only a tiny teething issue with a new car. Anybody else having this issue? Onstar diagnostic says no trouble codes are showing up.

Had the same problem. Easy fix at the dealer. They replaced a harness in the steering column.

I had the same issue in my SS, it ended up being a bad sensor under the drivers seat.

Ok I'm not nearly as worried now. I was just hoping it wasn't a count down to the bag exploding in my face on the highway.

Damn, I was thinking the same thing! The more I pressed the gas, the louder warning signal. I was thinking I should tell my wife to drive so I could be conscious to tell the police what happened.

Had this happen driving the car out of the dealer's lot after buying it. 5 miles on odometer.

Battery had a dead cell and needed to be replaced. Cleared code with tool. Done.

I had the same thing in my Avalanche , bad sensor under the seat now the other went. Onstar was no help , didnt even know an error message was showing , got rid Onstar soon after. If Onstar doesn't know that an airbag might not go off what good are they ..... cya !
Shoud be a east fix at the dealer

We apologize for the frustrations. Have you been to the dealership for a proper diagnosis as of yet? Please let us know what you are able to do.

If I get that code I'll definitely take my husband out of the trunk and put him in the drivers seat. Like your thought process!
