Do you need new plug wires with a header install?

I have ordered a set of 1 7/8" Kooks headers to put on my LS3. This is the first set of headers I have ever placed on a car and was wondering about changing the plug wires. I have seen some people changing them and some not. I am ignorant on the subject so any help would be appreciated.

Are they needed and why? If so what ones should I buy?

When you install them, it's a good idea to remove the spark plugs. Alot of people end up damaging a plug when installing headers. And yes my stock plug wires work great with headers. No issues.

You don't NEED to replace them. Although one of my stock wires was rubbing one of the primaries on my headers so I grabbed some Taylor wires. No issues at all.

You may not "need" them, but the red ones sure are pretty.

No need to replace spark plug wires, but may need an extension of your O2 sensor wires depending which heads you buy. I needed them for my Doug Thorleys just so there wasn't any tension.

Nope. But as mentioned they look better. I went a little overkill on protecting from the heat. Headers are coated and 0 ohm granatelli wires with sleeves. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360359824.350968.jpg
