Thieves Hitting Camaros
Just wanted to share this message from my apartment housing office in Memphis, TN (Cordova specifically). My lease ends on Saturday and I have been moved out of the apartment for about a month and into a house but I was there last night finishing up the cleaning, fortunately left before this went down
 .Message from housing office: Attention Resident: We have been informed that two of your neighbors had their vehicles broken into and items removed from both outside & inside the vehicle last night. We believe this occurred sometime between 11:30 PM last night and 5:00 AM this morning. If you witnessed any suspicious behavior or activity that you think may be related to this incident, please contact the leasing office with any information you may have. We have been informed from the Memphis Police Department that criminals are hitting area communities. They are targeting Camaros & cars that have rims, wheels, stereo equipment, & anything of value. Most important is to be aware of your surroundings at all times, and IMMEDIATELY contact the Memphis Police Department at 901-636-4400 if you see or hear anything suspicious! Although we are concerned for the safety of our residents, we can in no way keep crime from occurring. Park's Edge at Shelby Farms does not provide security, but if you follow these invaluable suggestions, it may possibly help detour any future crimes in our community: - Please do not leave anything of value in your car. Cars which contain expensive stereos, cell phones, radar detectors, etc. are always tempting targets to thieves. - Always lock your car doors and roll up the windows before leaving your vehicle. - Always have your keys out and be ready to open your vehicle. - Do not leave apartment keys, gate cards, or remotes in your car. - Maintain adequate automobile and renter's insurance at all times. Please check with your insurance company to ensure your car is covered if you experience a theft. It is our sincere desire that you have a happy and healthy living experience in our community. Major league sucks, my car is just in a carport, but I'm very glad it and my motorcycle are on camera all the time, at home anyway
