LFX motor sound?

Am I hearing something or is it normal? First half of video is drivers side valve cover area, then passengers...stock motor 2600 miles

Oh shit. Don't sound good to me. Maybe lifter or valve clattering. My LFX is nice and quite.

I should also say I know our injectors are loud on cold startup...

This was after 45 minute drive home and at idle in the driveway with no shutdown time between pulling in and video

Sent video to my dealer service guy, and without having car in front of him he thinks it is the high pressure pump but can't determine if it's operating normal or not since they can be noisy period...tomorrow it's going in for the Torque Converter to be replaced so they will check this out too..

Well thats good, atleast they're taking a look at it and that you're already going to be in there for something else. Let me know if they find anything because if so i might need to have mine looked at! Thanks

Mine sounded not as loud as this one, but it did. Took it to the dealer and they said it's the A/C compressor. After waiting for two months, tomorrow he is going in to get the replacement.

Hope it gets fixed!

Your driver side does not sound normal.
I have the 3l version of this motor in my cts and it sounds like a ups truck upon start up, but nothing like this.
