Water drainage on ZL1 hoods

Unfortunately, I don't own a ZL1, just a SS. I was wondering though, how is rainwater and/or water from car washing drained/channeled out from the vents in those hoods?

the answer?

Very well, thank you!

Seriously - I wish you could see how we validate water (and snow) drainage to ensure that our engines do not ingest water --

It's quite amazing - esp. when we blow snow into the front of the car for hours on end..........

That's also why I get a *bit nervous* when I see some of the air boxes that people put on their cars (and trucks...) because I'm never sure as to how well they've validated the change ..... (this isn't a slam at any particular manufacturer - I DO know that some of them validate to our standards.....)

Just a word to the wise......

Wow, that drainage shroud looks huge; I'm surprised it fits into everything when the hood is closed. Thanks.

On the other hand how many of those ZL1s will see snow?
(but i bet GM has very demanding standards to approve something like this)
