warrenty question

How many times does a dealership have to **** up a repair before GM has to send it somewhere else?



Paint issue dealership screwed up the repair 4 times GM now is denying my claim saying I must return to the same dealer for a 5th time. Got an estimate at another local dealer says now the paint must be stripped because of being painted too much and now needs 6300 in repairs


I am to the point of suing GM and the dealer but would like to not have to do that

They're making you go back to the same dealer?? Was the initial repair under warranty? If you have to go back I would take that estimate and find out why the dealer won't strip your paint and do it right...

GM states you must return to the original dealer. The paint had a defect from the factory, dry clear coat. small repair now the whole side of my car has been painted 4 times

Well you have to go with the flow and (even though you're pretty much done with that dealer) let them try again. Document everything that has happened and begin working on a lemon law case. One way or another the problem will get resolved.

GM doesn't want to have to pay the claim a 2nd time... they're making the dealership redo it on their dime. I can see that once or even twice, but after 4 times, I know I'd be talking to a lawyer...

to hell with that after 4 times and u cant get i right i dont think they would be touvhing my car again
