Went to the dealer today to order my 1LE. Things didn't quite go as planned. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So like the title says. I headed over to Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City FL to order my all black 2SS 1LE. I get there and talk to my man Tellis (great guy by the way) and we look at a couple of things on some other Camaros so I can get them straight in my head. Then we head over to the buyers office to set up my order. I'm full well expecting to place an order and wait 8-12 weeks. I have a print out of what I want off of the Chevy site and I throw it down on the mans desk and say "I want this"... a Black 2SS with NPP, Nav, and the 1LE nothing else. He pauses for a second and says I'll have it this week...

So I'm puzzled. He says I'm expecting that very car with the addition of the RS option any day now. So naturally I'm. Excited. We go and work the deal then while I'm sitting in the finance office the salesman walks in and tells me he has some bad news... so naturally I'm pissed. He hands me the TSB on the tires cracking in the cold and says they can't ship anything with those tires out of Canada until the weather warms up... the car should arrive in two weeks or so... SOB!

I tell them no worries. They are still getting me the car about 2 months faster than I expected. I left a deposit and now I wait. LoL

That's pretty cool. Didn't know they were taking the tire thing so seriously. Congrats. You'll be glad you went with the RS package.

Yeah I went to Ferman in Brandon and was so turned off by how I was treated I went straight to Stingray 2x the distance and got treated like a king. I guess Ferman thinks t shirts and jeans are not sufficient attire when buying a Chevy.

I've even bought a car from Ferman in the past. Stingray is my new home.
