Didn't Miss It Until It's Gone.....
......as some may know my 2010 OEM 2SS Camaro was totaled after someone hydroplaned into me while on the freeway a few months back. Well long story short i ended up getting back about $12000. My fiance an i are expecting our 3rd child so she pretty much convinced me that we needed something "bigger" although she already has the SUV and to be honest, I "thought" I was ready for change and wanted to get my "grown man" on. Hahaha. Well I ended up getting a 2008 BMW 750I with 38,000 miles. The car is great, spacious, has nice pick up, high end features, blah, blah, blah.
Here we are about 1 1/2 months of owning this car and no matter how many "Wow! This is nice! / Beautiful Car! / etc" comments I get from grown folks, none can compete with the countless amount of thumbs up I got from young children on school playgrounds, other camaro/chevy owners, Kids coming up and telling my daughter "Wow, your lucky to be driving in this, etc". My daughter is disappointed in my choice as well. She LOVED the camaro. LOL But I find myself driving along on the freeway and get in the certain situations where I need a little power and this BMW just doesnt do it for me. I miss my camaro. LOL The other day i was driving on the freeway in the fast lane. 2 Camaro SS's pull along side of me (I think they were racing) and out of no where as soon as they seen an opening they were GONE! I couldnt do nothing but smile because I know I wouldve been right there along with them. hahaha. I know for a fact that I WILL get my another Camaro SOON. Now its just about finding one that I want, in the color, trim, interior, features, etc just like i did with my other one. The fiance can see my dislike in the new car (although she LOVES it) but at the end of the day she wants me to be happy so when the time comes I will be another camaro owner. I visit this forum everyday and have only been to the beemer forums twice. Hahaha |

my daughter is 8 and I know exactly where you are.. She gets a lot of attention from the other kids and even some of the teachers in the morning when I drop her off because of the car, especially when I drop the top in the drop off lane.
I've heard the cool car, cool dad comments, always brings a smile to her face (and mine). and then when I take her in the truck it's "what happened to your dads car?" though I am reverse of you, I did the grown up thing now I am doing the mid-life thing..

Do the right thing. Put your daughters needs before yours and go buy that Camaro. Tell the wife you ARE being a selfless grown man.
My twin girls LOVE mine especially in car line at school. They ask me to rev it a little so i always just paddle down to 1st and cruise through the line at 2k rpm's with LT's , no cats and my Magnaflow comp. All the little kiddos stare and point. |

Hahaha. It must be a girl thing because my oldest is 10 and youngest is 4. She doesnt even like for me to pull up in the same places anymore to drop her off. LOL.

You're indescretion is forgiven. Your penance is to visit as many local Camaro dealers and to visit with those lonely Camaros.

On the other hand I am on camaro5.com. several times a day. Never visit any other sites either except for the new stingray. What is it with the Camaro that makes everybody fall in love with? The 2014 Z/28 is a cool looking car! Good luck finding your next Camaro Keep us posted |

Wait untill you get a price tag on having to fix something. I had a neighbor that had a BMW 750 that sprung a radiator leak. Cost to fix....$7,500 due to something along the lines that the radiator hose went down through the middle of the motor.
I say trade the BMW while you can. Go get you a used Camaro and be happy again. I have 3 boys that range from 11, 9, and 6. I've had no issues with having an SUV and the Camaro.
