...figuring out if I have the top left tab in the slot on my speedo bezel

. This is the 2nd painted bezel I've put in (replaced gray OE with orange, now its gloss black). Could I have stretched out the sides of the slot and now there's nothing for the tab to grip? Or do I need to pry out the center left tab (cause there's 4 tabs along the top) and pull on the outside to persuade the tab to get into the slot. Yesterday I pulled the bezel out and I could have sworn the tab looked like it was straight forward in the slot

. The other side is in nice and tight. It looks like shit with an 1/8" gap. I just don't want to twist/bend the bezel and wreck (crack) the paint. I swear this is it for changing out bezels, even if I trade in my Camaro
