What's the difference between a 1SS and a 2SS? I just bought a 2011 SS with a KB supercharger. It's getting lt headers, exhaust and a tune as we speak. I'm just getting into Camaros and I can't seem find out the difference between the two.

Biggest highlight Leather in 2ss, cloth in 1ss.

But there are some electronic things too. Someone else will chime in.

2ss has the RS package, and yes leather ^^ thats not all

No such thing as a dumb question. Another big difference is HUD in the '12 models. Welcome.

HUD is on the '11s as well.

1ss is base model for ss,,no hid headlights and roof moldings are black ,taillight lenses
Are brighter red.1ss also has white ss emblems front and rear. The 2ss has body colored roof moldings,darker tail light lenses, hid headlights (halo) and red ss emblems front and rear. Hope this helps.

You just described the RS package.

The differences between a 1SS and a 2SS:

- 2SS has leather seats
- 2SS has heated seats
- 2SS has the ambient lighting in the doors
- 2SS has the four auxiliary gauges
- 2SS has the Heads Up Display

ss2nv; not so sure about that.

think you can have a 2SS that is not an RS, if so, the emblems will be white just like the 1SS. same with the roof moldings and HID, i think!?!?

2SS comes with leather seats, 4 gauge clusters, and the HUD. The 1SS is the basic model with cloth seats and none of the other things mentioned above.

Although a lot of that (HIDs, red emblems, darker taillights) are all part of the RS package; which, as far as I know, is available with the 1SS.

...unless you get the 1SS w/ RS package. Then you get most everything but leather and the 4-pack cluster.

I have the 2SS/RS and do not seem to have heated seats. Where would the on/off switch be for me to check?

Also, as I learned here, the silver SS on either model is without the RS package, and the red SS denotes RS package...
