What issues have you had with them that drop their rating?

I give 9 out 10 !

Would be 10 but my Led strips don't work and not sure if its AAC's fault or the installers

Yeah i got them too. Would probably say 9 out of 10. Had a little whistling problem with one mirror but it was a quick fix. Otherwise, they are amazing

9 out of 10 for the same thing. But it really is a 5 minute fix. The whistling is more of a hiccup than an issue to be honest.

I would think the fact that your LED not working would drop it to a 5 or a 6 where 5 pts are awarded for look factor and 0-1 pts awarded cause they don't work

I have them in Victory Red with the LED lighting

Here are my ratings:

Concept/Idea: 10/10
Looks: 9/10
Ease of Install: 8/10

Quality: 2/10
Paint: 0/10
Customer Service: -4,000/10
Price/Value: 0/10 (Paid $650+, will have to pay several more hundred to get repainted, plus the uninstall/reinstall)
Whistling Noise: 0/10 if you don't whistling noises. 10/10 if you think whistles are cool.

The paint job on my set is HORRIBLE. When lit up at night, the LED lighting shows through the seams of the mirror housing, the screw holes, a few places on the body of the mirror where the paint is thin, and all inside the housing behind the mirror.....and no, I don't have an early or prototype set.

Took car to the Houston AAC store to show them...

"OH, we can do anything about that here....you bought those from the New Orleans store....you have to call them!"

Called NOLA. - "Hello....here are my issues and I'd like to return the mirrors or have them properly painted....."

"Sorry, but that is a custom color (umm....it's RED!) and we can't take them back....and people LOVE the fact that the light shines through the seams!" (ummm.... I DON'T!!)

So I complain and moan to NOLA and Houston's shop (whose mgr. is an old friend of mine) about the crappy paint and horrible customer service (which is typical of AAC) and they promise me a $100 gift certificate. 5-6 months later.....nothing.

I'm not into all the lighting and flashy stuff, but I have 3 AAC products on my car - ALL of it is CRAP!

I've made it my mission to steer all potential customers away from AAC that I can. I get asked about my mirrors all the time and use it as an opportunity to tell my story. Hopefully I have cost them MUCH more than what it would have cost to take my mirrors back or at least fix them....

They come up with some cool ideas...but execution, product quality, and customer service is dreadful. If you do your research on this site...you'll hear lots of the same....

Damn. I wish it was better news on them. They look awesome - That's bazaar there's that many problems with them. Makes me sad because they looked so awesome.

Do you know if you just got a crappy set or if it's a common occurrence?

Fairly common. Some people got lucky and got decent sets. Most have issues of one sort or another. Some got their $$ back, others just getting the shaft!

THere is a HUGE thread/topic on C5 somewhere....just need to search for it.
