Could any one run a carfax for me?

Hey I'm looking into getting a 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS I know the one I'm looking had some minor damage according to the dealer I just want to make sure it checks out. I'm not sure I this is allowed I couldn't find anything on it if it's not allowed I am very sorry. But the vin is 2G1FK1EJ0A9121638 its silver with 2 matte black stripes if that matters. If you could just screen shot the pages or something because I have to show someone else also it would be greatly appreciated. Sorry I'm not really sure how the carfax works when trying to show another person.

Tell the dealer to pull one as part of the deal.

I did email them for one but I haven't gotten a response back yet. I've heard they don't take emails as seriously sometimes because there's no way to know if the person is a serious buyer. Also I would go in and ask but this dealership is about two hours away so I would like to be certain I would buy it when I went if everything checked out.

Pay $10 and get it.

Carfax wants $35 for just one when I typed the vin in there was no $10 option. I thought maybe someone would have the 5 pack of them or maybe the unlimited ones they could be kind enough to use on me.

best bet would be to go to the dealer, they will print you out a carfax for free.

I am using carfax now as well since I'm looking for a truck.

I was going to bite the bullet and spend $35 for one as well, but I accidentally clicked and bought the unlimited. Woops.

But get this....with "unlimited" I can only run reports until August and I can only run up to FIVE reports based off of VIN. I can run unlimited reports based on license plate number.

That is laughable at best. It is complete BS.

I'm sure there has to be cheaper good alternatives out there to carfax.

In what universe is this unlimited? Last time i checked most cars on a dealer don't have a plate so if your looking at a dealer car that is useless

Have you been to the dealer to see the car? CarFax is just an insurance database. Go look at the car and get them to put it up on a lift. Check the seams for fitment and the body panels for paint quality and straightness. Don't put your faith in CarFax, I have seen numerous cars that had been hit and repaired with clean CarFax reports when I was in the car biz.

Want to see why you shouldn't trust carfax?

Just read a few of these comments:
