So he originally called me to tell me he had been invoiced for my car on Monday, gave me a VIN and told me it was actually showing up in their inventory on their website, even though my event code shows 3400 TPW 7/13

looked on the website, MSRP 37,510, my order is 35,425

called him, he said he'd look into it

turns out it's NOT my car, same thing I ordered with some options hence the price increase

I felt like a dad who got cheated on by his wife on Maury and them being like

"You are NOT the father!"

back to the waiting game I go, with the rest of my fellow 7/13'ers, at least it wasn't a mark up

I wonder what it must be like to never make a mistake. Dealer or not.

When a sold order invoice comes in doesn't it have the buyers information or order number on it? Reading about how all these people were having their cars sold to other people that was my understanding

I'm not mad or upset at the guy, I am disapointed however, I believe it was an honest mistake, that's why I'm looking at it positively saying at least it's not a mark up

How I look at it is this, at least your dealer showed concern and ambition to get you your car asap. My car sat in the show room for 5 hours before I got the call. My dealer told me that once their Camaros arrive, they are not there long and they decided to keep the car in the showroom before calling the customer to pick it up. Your dealer obviously made an honest mistake but at least it was in your best interest.
