Need help with mods

I have a 2012 Camaro 1lt v6 it's purely stock and need to change that asap. It has 323hp. I live in N.Y.

I'm looking for mods I can do to this beast to boots up it's HP. So any suggestions would be good like exhausts, supercharging, turbo etc? With your suggestions let me know how much HP I should be expecting to get from it. example: vararam intake (i heard maybe 30+hp)..

Before you start modifying your car it is important to know exactly what you are trying to accomplish. How much power are you wanting to add? What do you want your car to do better? How do you use your car?

First off, welcome, car looks great and you have a really nice engine in the LFX. Secondly, a good vendor like Chase from Apex is a great resource to help you out. Finally, you found the right forum. Search is your friend here and there is a good link on 2012+ V6 mods, lemme find it...

CAI would be my choice and I would buy it from Apex, some have found the cold air intake scoop helpful.

Hey chase, i'm looking for pure extra power/speed. It is my daily driver, not really planning on hitting the track really now, but cherry is dieing for something new..she's too stock. I'm interested in adding 10k max into it...so i'm a little open to a few suggestions. I heard vararam cold intake is better then a conventional cold air intake...

Let me know,
thanks

I may be wrong, but I don't think vararam makes an intake for our engines.

There is a new twin turbo kit that puts LFX to 460? RWHP. Just search twin turbo... I think it is by IPF but its only 6800!

Vararam is not available for the 2012+ V6 Camaro. A $10K budget can accomplish a lot. You could go with a turbo or supercharger set up, but that will eat up just about the entire budget and require some down time. If you want to go naturally aspirated build you could a more complete build and end up with a much better over all car. Are you wanting to do it all at once or in stages?

If you have 10k to burn why not just trade in for an SS?

There is a lot of good information in the LFX and V6 forums. Another thing that helps is to attend car shows in your area with other Camaro enthusiasts to see what they have done and learn from their successes (and maybe a few things that weren't so successful).

I would suggest that you map out your long-term plan and then add components as your budget allows. That will help you avoid buying incompatible items such as a cold air intake that won't work with a supercharger or turbo. Don't forget that your V6 engine is connected to a V6 drivetrain. You may want to leave some budget for mods to hook that power up to the street or reduce parts breakage since some mods may invalidate your powertrain warranty.

Enjoy the research and good luck with your car!
