What would Carmax give me?
I'm having no luck with a private party sale and am considering selling my car to carmax. The car is a 2010 camaro 1SS. 6 speed with 16,050 miles. Any sell theres? If so what did you get?

I've sold on Craigslist and done well. Let's just say the diff between what Carmax/Automax would give me and what I got off Craigslist was over 3K!!!

My mom just sold her '10 IOM 2SS/RS LS3 to Carmax with 16k miles and got $22k

Yep. Ford offered her $19k as trade in. Car was immaculate. If I could have sold mine, I would have bought hers in a heart beat.

I sold 2010 SS to Carmax....
....back in mid mid April for $25,000.
2SS, manual, NO sunroof, NO RS package, 25,600 miles, excellent condition with the exception of the tires which were WELL worn and needed replaced. I feel like I got a fair deal......a good deal actually. When I decided to sell my 2010 I took it to them just our of curiosity to see what they'd offer. They offered $25,000. I put it up for sale private party that night for $27,500 and after getting no bites or offers (with the exception for someone in California who wouldn't have been able to get it for more than 2 weeks), I took it back to CarMax on day 7 and sold it to them for $25K. Quick & easy. After they called my bank for the loan payoff amount, they cut me a check that night. It doesn't hurt to take it in for an offer and that offer is good for a week. CarMax seems to get a bad rap for some reason. I got a great price when I bought my 2004 Z06 from them and I got a good deal when I sold my 2010 SS to them......maybe I just got lucky.
