Back pressure question
Ok guys, someone way smarter than me need to help me out with this. I had a big 2003 ford f-150 before my camaro, and I ran true straights; no cats, no mufflers so essentially no back pressure. It caused a head gasket to blow because of the lack of back pressure. My question is will putting things on my camaro like HFC and/or axle back exhaust have enough back pressure to the engine for it to run properly or how would I counteract the lack of back pressure, and make it not cause problems in the long term.

Haven't heard of that issue here on the forums. But I'm not sure how many LFX run straight pipes? I imagine the sound would be awful.

Running straight pipes is not "back-pressure-less", perse. It sounds like you were running pipes that were too big. Plenty of guys are running straight pipes on their Camaros with no issues... it just sounds awful.
The Solo HFCs are good, and an axle-back won't change your back pressure at all. And an X-pipe might MARGINALLY change flow. But you shouldn't have any issues.
