going back to stock exhaust question.

Hello I just installed my MRT v2 exhaust and I was just curious. If I wanted to go back to stock exhaust can I just remove the v2s and weld the stock ones back in place? I like the v2s but I'm gonna give it time and see if its something I would like in the long run or not.

Just hang on to your old parts and they can be re-installed.

Okay because I just installed it and I'm going to give it a few weeks and choose if I want to stay with it or not. In the meantime I'll store the exhausts until then

Or at least hang on to them until your wife makes you throw them out...

They can be welded back on without issue.

I'd give it more than a few weeks. When I got my exhaust (Borla) Chase told me htey have "gunk" (I know nice technical term huh?) in them that has to burn off before you get the true sound from them & this can take a few weeks to months depending on how much you drive. Not sure if this is true for all brands or not but I did see a big difference in sound on mine after a few of months (much better after a while).

It take 1500 mile to really break in a new exhaust.

My MRT 2.0 took at least 2K before it settled in.

It will tone down some. If it still bothers you, consider getting a Magnaflow Resonated X pipe Part # 11386. This will tone down the volume by about 15% and eliminate any drone or rasp.
