High Wing Spoiler Install Questions

So the high wing spoiler I ordered arrived and I'm at a crossroads. For those unfamiliar with the difficulty: the high wing spoiler uses separate holes from the factory spoiler that is on the car now. I have to either:

A - Order a new trunk lid
B - Have a body shop fix the holes and repaint it
C - (Least Appealing) plug the holes myself

Anyone have ideas on prices and/or recommendations? I'm considering putting on the TF3 stripes, which would cover four of the five holes.

C - (Least Appealing) plug the holes myself
D - Find some with a deck lid same color as yours with no spoiler and trade.

I went the body shop route with mine. I had them weld the holes & then paint. And yes, after all was said & done. It ended up being an $850 spoiler. Worth it for me, but maybe not for some. Good luck whichever way you go though.

Did it require any repairs on the deck lid of the ZL1?

If I wasn't changing out a mod with a mod, I would do the high wing spoiler.

I have the NLP spoiler with custom painted on stripes.. not going to happen for my car.

in person, the High wing spoiler is sooo SEXY!!!

That spoiler on the ZL1 is indeed a GM part.

Saw it in person.

I lucked out and found an undrilled trunk lid at www.car-part.com
Found one in RJT for $300 in A+ condition that I used for mine.

I still have my original trunk lid I can swap out if needed.

Yes, you are right...I was misled by the perspective of the picture....sorry guys..

I found a useful link form an other camaro forum explaining the installation procedure. Can I post it? or it is against the forum rules ?

I think this http://www.bumperplugs.com/BPindex.html might not be a bad idea...
