Recommendations for 6l80e rebuild in Metro Detroit
Hi everyone,
I am new to the forums and the Camaro world. I inherited a 2010 2SS L99 Auto Inferno Orange through unfortunate circumstances. The car is in need of a new trans or rebuild. My cousin drove the hell out of the car and regularly took to the track. I am curious if anyone can point me to a reputable shop or give any kind of advice on other routes to take. I am located in Canton, MI and really looking only in the immediate area as the car will more than likely have to be towed. Thank you! |

I can't help with the area but what I can tell you is to call around and see what each shop says and charges.
I just had to do this with my 14 Silverado and called and talked to 6 or 7 different shops to get their opinions, options, pricing. Most just wanted to throw a reman transmission in and call it a day but didn't know how long it would take because the trans was on backorder. 2 shops wanted to actually rebuild the trans so i listened to what they had to say and made my choice. When I was looking for shops to call I looked at their reviews. Make the best decision for you. |
