V6 LLT to LFX or LS3-L99

I remember the days of owning an LLT V6 and thinking how great it would be to own a SC or Turbo version. Then after the first adopters started to have some issues, I thought I would wait it out. Then when the fall out happened with RX vs Competition that pretty much sealed my fate.

How many here have left the LLT for a different Camaro be it a LFX or LS3/L99.

For those that were the first adopters of the LLT Supercharged or LLT Turbo would you do it again???

As an owner of an LLT I'd say if I had an LFX instead I'd have zero feeling of moving to an SS. I still don't really have a big desire to get an SS even now, but the LLT seems to be the more immature version of the LFX with tuning issues, timing chain issues, and on some of these engines there are major oil loss problems. All of that makes me nervous about keeping this car for a really long time. It is not SS evny.

I take care of my car, and it has low mileage and maybe it will be just fine but I don't know for sure.

If I had an LFX I don't think I'd have as much worry, and it plays better with forced induction than the LLT so the potential for power is there if you want it. IPF is the only big game in town for forced induction on the LLT...at least they are a good choice even if they are the only choice. I could end up with an IPF SC kit on my car one day.

The fact that my car is the rare Aqua blue plays a big role in my love for this car. I wouldn't trade straight up for just any SS...call me crazy if you want. Now if someone had a good mileage well kept ABM SS I could be tempted.

So I think what I'll end up doing is waiting to see what the 6th gen has in store for us. If I fall head over heels for it like I did the 5th gen I may just move on at that time. If I don't love it that much, then I'll either look to keep my car and continue to make it my own, or maybe seek out a 2010 Aqua Blue SS.

I was in a similar mood with my synergy green camar. Though when the 1LE debuted I really liked it allot. I waited and thought I could wait even longer thought decided to pull the trigger on a 2014.

Sorry, I didnt add the LFX as it has more options than the LLT. Options as far as tuners go.

You might consider adding "LLT to LSA" and "LLT to LS7" as other poll options.

I went from buying a 2010 LLT (top photo)on Dec. 5th to a L99 (bottom pic) on August 31st 2013. Keith can attest that I had pretty much done everything cosmetically to the V6 that I could do and a lot of performance mods as well. I was satisfied though I didn't like some of the horror stories I was hearing about the LLT and my dealer whom I'm friends with the owner knew I was a sucker for RJT and knew that if they ever got one in with low low miles to call and they did. 3500 on the odometer and I couldn't pass along with them compensating me for my mods with a very admirable trade allowance the helped me get what I wanted and get it where I wanted it to be.
Everyone I talked to about the deal I was getting told me I would be not to go for it.
I do miss the comradery the V6 pages have but because of relationships and connections, I still keep in touch with KMP and some of the others. It's all good!!!1

+1

But I sure to enjoy my switch from the LT to the SS or really it was a LT to a SS to another SS...
