Heated Seat Problem (yes another one, but different)

I started out with the same issue of a broken wire (actually both wires were broken) on my driver's side seat. Turn it on and it would shut off after less than a minute. So I go about fixing the broken wires, put it all back together and it does the same thing. So I pull it out again and go back at it with a meter. I show 12.5 ohms resistance on the seat heater both at the plug and the element itself. Would this indicate a bad element, or possible a bad module? Is there a good way to test the module? I tested it with the element exposed and it started to heat up on one side (closest to the door) of the seat back, but never got warm on the other side before it shut off.

I am thinking that my next step would be to replace the element itself, but I wanted to get some advice from those on here that are more familiar with it before I shell out the cash for a new one.

Mine goes in this week to have the main fuse block replaced because the seat heaters quit. Not quite the same problem as yours, as mine just stopped working. The dealer tested it and came up with this. Just thought I would mention it in case it helps you if you can't get it repaired.

That helps me feel a bit better about just buying a new element.
