Both cars ready for Camaro Superfest this weekend!

Spent the day getting my 82 Z28 ready for Camaro Superfest. Car has not looked that good in 25 years! Was able to have the photo op I have wanted since I bought my 1LE! A few pics to enjoy! The interior on the 82 is still nearly perfect!

Suggestion. Clean and detail your mud flaps and wheel wells!

The 80s were so unkind to American cars. Nice piece of nostalgia though.

I thought about that, but not really worried about winning any awards with it. Plus I live on a dirt road. LOL. The door jams and under hood on the 82 are a mess. Had it under coated back in the 80's and the gooy mess attracted dirt. I won't win anything if the open the hood!

The striping on the bottom half is original. The upper body striping was added before I bought the car in 1986. This car is very original...never painted, original 305 cross fire injection with 78,000 original miles.

Gonna take me a little while to dig it up, but I have a remarkably similar pic of my black '82 (Berlinetta, roaring with 104 angry little ponies... and that was NOT the smallest engine offered that model year!). I took the pic in Kansas, and your pic is crazy similar.

I've been invited (and I accepted) to participate in our town's Fourth of July parade. This will be the third year running that the yella Camaro has rolled though, as part of the convoy for my buddy's towing business. Firsat year it rode on the flatbed, second year he demonstrated the ability of his other truck to be able to pick up, roll with, and set down any (two- wheel drive) car, all by remote control, without leaving the driver's seat. This year, I'll be rolling along, with company decal/ magnets on the doors. We may try to work a little precision driving into the show, but I doubt that parade organizers are going to let us drive up on two wheels... but hey, perhaps some ultra-close driving, some backwards driving, and lots and lots of candy for the kiddos!
