Eliminator No-Drill License Plate Bracket.

A couple members have asked me about this bracket since I posted it in my build thread a couple of days ago, so I thought I would post some better pictures and a description. This particular bracket is made for the ZL1 front bumper but that make them for other Camaro bumpers as well.

So basically, the bracket works by attaching some plates and brackets to the lower grill on the ZL1 bumper. The plates and brackets screw into each other and clamp to the upper part of the lower grill. The kit is made to install without having to remove any parts. The manufacturer included a cleaver tool for inserting the clamps behind the grill and fishing them into place and everything is held in place with a rubber band while you insert screws.

Once the backing plates are in place, the front license plate bracket simply clamps in place using some adjustable clamps mounted to the back of it.

See pictures below. Excuse the lack of bow ties... waiting for a new set from Lupe to be delivered.

I think it works really well and it feels very secure. It has a little bit of a downward cant to it. You can remove the license plate in about 2 seconds flat.

With Bracket in Place

Without Bracket in Place. Note small plates at top center of lower grill.

Anyone interested can find details here http://www.eliminatorbracket.com/. I am not associated with these guys, just thought it was a cool product and very well thought out.

I'm kind of liking that.... Much better than some of the other options out there, ecspecially if you have a splitter..

Thanks for posting photos....

Nice but I just cant bring myself to put a plate on the front of my car. I have only been stopped for turn signal once in Camaro. No ticket give for front plate.

I drive with Red halos in headlights and fogs with zero plate for 4 years now. Never been ticketed once. Sitting directly across police officers at lights and they just give thumbs up.

Would rather pay the fine

I understand. Of course, you can install the bracket (very discrete and no damage to vehicle) and leave the plate in your trunk and if you ever get pulled over for it, you just say you had it at a show recently and forgot to clip it back on. Might get you out of a ticket if you can correct it on the spot.

DFW may be more forgiving. NoVa I think they are a little more strict about it. Either way, I was very appreciative that my dealer did not drill and attach the bracket like many do, but left it to me to decide.

Gotcha. If I purchased a car and the dealer drilled in my front bumper they would be replacing without a doubt or would not be going through with car

Here in Oklahoma a front plate is not required. Most cars do have a front license plate holder so typically I put on some sort of vanity plate. I actually like the little bit of expression.

Well, this Camaro came from Colarado and due to whatever reason it did not have a front license plate holder. I was going to order one and screw it in but I have kind of gotten use to the simpler look. Meh...
