Buying 1le soon !

So i was supposed to get my 1le this past fall but, once i starting seeing everyone's 14 1le's i decided to wait a bit longer. Finally after 2 years of wanting a camaro im going to be getting one this Feb. If i can find one.

My question, should i order (feb11th) , or try and get my dealer to find one? Im very specific on 2ss ashen gray, npp no sunroof.

I hate the thought of waiting for an extra 6-8 weeks but if i cant find one guess theres no choice but to ordet Also im not wanting to go past 42k. Ive seen 14 2ss 1le's go from 39 - 46k.(cars.com) Id like to be on the lower end of that if possible.

Thanks !

A lot of people like to order their car because they know where's its been and they can be as picky as they want when ordering. That being said I purchased mine off the showroom floor at around 36kish. Though, mine is a 1SS w/o NPP, non-rs

I got my '13 2SS RS with NPP and Nav for around 38k after rebates..and GM discount. Sticker was 43,575. Not sure what they have as far as rebates go on the 14s

I ordered mine! The wait was half the fun! Lol seriously. I had fun with it. Plus I figured if I'm going to buy a new car, likely the only new car I'll ever buy, I wanted to order it.

Order it. You also should have better negotiating power. Read the book, "What car dealers won't tell you."

^^^ This is true, a customer ordering a car is a very cost effective way for a dealer to sell a car as it is ordered as a customer purchase and not against their inventory. I got my ordered 2SS/RS 1LE, NPP for just over 40k. Good luck OP.

Order it and get it the way you want it. Don't settle!!! You'll regret it afterwards realizing waiting a month was well worth it.
...
A month or so (depending on constraints) is nothing compared to you wishing youd got what you really want a year or so from now.

order it. i bought my new 2 LT vert 2 months ago, however, the dealer had it for year. i started looking at this car in June, but floor planning costs were killing the deal on my car. i waited, till end of Sept. as being it was a non RS vert, they were willing to come down some more, and with GM rebate. i paid more than i really wanted, but i liked the car since it was non RS, and i didnt want the RS and summer only tires. my car had 65 miles on it. but, if you order, dealer really not paying any interest to the bank of floor planning so you should get it at invoice. i did get my car below invoice with rebates on the 13s though.

$36997 for mine. 1SS, NPP, Boston sound and Crystal Red. Order it just how you want, you'll be well under $40k

MSRP on a 2014 2SS with NPP and 1LE is $41,745 which includes the current $500 rebate from Chevy. Take another $1K off of that during negotiations and you're looking at $40,750 give or take. That keeps you under $42K (though of course you'll be way over it after tax, registration, other charges).

Wait the 6 weeks and get the car you want.

Thanks for the advice, I will probably go with ordering. My only concern though, if I order am I stuck with the msrp and possible 500 rebate? check this link
" http://www.lindsaychevrolet.com/new/...1cba2f3325.htm "

It's Lindsay Chevrolet. A 2ss 1le @39,087. That's an amazing deal I think, everything I want, minus the sunroof.
This leads me to think I could maybe find a better deal if I just look around. I don't know. I'll probably order just to be safe and if I can't find one.

For those that ordered, you just put down a deposit and do the financing when it comes in correct? I'm assuming that's what you do, however the sales guy I was talking to acted like I couldn't do that unless I put down my full down payment..

That is a smoking deal on that 1LE! It has navigation, sunroof, NPP exhaust, and RS.

I put $3k down when I ordered just to get the ball rolling, then put some more down and did the financing when the car arrived.

Pay below dealer invoice or don't buy the car! Any good dealer will show you the dealer invoice on the car...pay below that and it's fair
