Dropping car off at the Dealer tomorrow

Okay well after all said and done...Repairs on my front right side fender is $605..I'm going to the local dealer body shop to have it done (Thorobred Chevy). It's a 3 days repair they said, hopefully not that long..Just wondering if I can wash my car before the dealer..? I also am wondering if they don't do it right...am I out of luck haha

You need to ask the body shop folks those questions.

if it's a good body shop they'll do good work and have a good detailer who will clean it right when they're done.

why would you waste time/money washing a car that they are going to fix and then wash afterwards?

Yah they will wash it alright , with a sponge and lots of swirl marks , wash it yourself with the right equipment . You will like your paint job a lot better without swirls

always better to clean it before taking it there. Take valuables out also. Not that there are going to steal anything but you never know. Walk around the car when you drop it off to show no other ding or scratches. A good body shop will make a note of this and appreciate not having to clean a dirty car before working on it. Trust me, I have a high end collision and it is greatly appreciated! Oh yeah, 3 days sounds right.

must be awful shady shops everyone is bringing their cars to if you can't trust them to properly wash a car after you trust them to repair it

If you have never been in an auto repair place, then you would not know that the whole place is one huge dust bowl. This is caused by all the sanding being done to your car and the others being repaired. They have to wash it when they are done.

Some people spent $35,000 on a car just to look at it. I spent it so I could drive it.

I worked in paint repair. They get pretty dusted some times.
