What do you think? Totaled?
Update: It's totaled...Hope they come close to the pay off because I don't have gap.
Would you say it's totaled? Pulled a dumbass move... Fell asleep at the wheel on the highway hit the guard rail dead on going about 45-60mph. No seatbelt, no citations, no injuries besides the burns on my hands from the airbag. I am one lucky mother...... Last edited by BMTGIE; 02-11-2014 at 03:00 PM. |

Would need to see more pics of outside to know more. You can thank your car for saving your life though. Could have been worse esp. on others

we've all done stupid stuff. hard to say if it's totaled. if no frame damage, probably not. but your pics don't show much of the car. if all it needs is some front end work and an airbag then they'll fix it.
and after having seen numerous threads like this, I actually wouldn't call you lucky. the car is very safe, and has saved many people just on this site. |

Dang... bad day for Camaros in Houston... another thread mentions a double fatality on FM1960, involving a Camaro and a VW...

Count your blessings. You could have been seriously injured - or worse. Get some sleep! I do find it hard to believe though, that you were going in excess of 45 mph and only had that amount of damage. These Gen5s sure are safe cars and built well.

These cars are built like tanks if that's all that happened.

No seatbelt. Really. Do you jump out of planes without a parachute too.

No seat belt that's like riding a motorcycle without a helmet, not smart. Glad your OK. Damage depends on frame, engine, and body alignment.

Hey, we all have dosed off at one time or another. No seat belt, (just plain stupid), but accidents happen, nobody hurt, except pride, you will recover, car did its job. Check it off as a close call, and learn from it.
