WTT Vararam Intake for CAI

I have a v8 vararam with BOTH the tune and no tune snouts. Comes complete with all seals, heat shield for over the radiator, etc

I love it, and really dont want to get rid of it, but I now have a TL1 hood. Kind of counterproductive because the vararam is trying to suck up the air that would normally enter the engine bay to have air extracted out the hood

Will consider rotofab, but prefer CAI

Thanks!

I dont quite understand your logic on the hood forcing the need to change the intake? But if that's what you wanna do to change things up a bit go for it.

For what it's worth though, if you get a CAI inc intake, get a SCOOP too, or else your car might actually be slower then it is now with the Vararam.

BTW, no matter which hood you have on your car, the Vararam still pulls air from in front of the rad. Have heat extractors in the hood wont change your air intake routing.

Good luck with the sale/trade!

i know, im not saying the hood does anything to the routing of the intake... the vararam is not effected by the hood.... but the hood is effected by the vararam.

not to mention the fact that the TL1 drip tray routs the water onto the vararam when it rains... ill leave that for another conversation lol

Bottom line, If I have an extractor, i want it to function properly, rather than purely cosmetic ... as far as the scoop, yes I would be picking up the rotofab one as I have a ZL1 bumper
