I was at my dealer yesterday on the order system and the build date was for early March for ZL1. He said early to mid April delivery.

Why are you guys ordering when there are plenty of these cars on lots. About 12 miles from me there are about 10 new ZL1s. What am I missing?

You're missing the fact that Camaros are popular near you. My local dealership has 1, count them with me now, "1 ... uh done" 1LE on the lot and it isn't my color much less my exact build. They have a whopping 2 ZL1s, one vert, one coupe, both autos.

I literally had to drive my wife to a different state just to find a dealership with Recaro seats, ANY Recaros from any Camaro, on the lot so my wife, who is sensitive to certain seats, could test them out.

There are 6 or so Chevy dealerships within easy driving distance of me (~60 miles) and none of them have a single Summit White 1LE last time I checked.

I am trying to find a dealer in the NY/NJ metro area that has Recaros that I can sit in as well before I order.

Anyone?

Not one dealer near me has the car I want on a lot. Plus, it's freezing here in NY and I don't want the car right now.

What I do want is a car with almost zero miles unloaded off a truck with me standing there. If I locate a car, who knows what, where the car has been and I really don't want it driving on a flatbed with all of this rock salt flying around on the roads.

Number of reasons for ordering:
- When I do a search in NJ no ZL1s within 200 miles
- its freaking cold up here so instant new set of tires
- on a car with a special (lengthy) break in period/method, I want to be the one to do the first hole shot AFTER the 1500 miles

Plus its a special car, should be a special experience.

As far as discount, you should be able to get it at invoice or below, which is only a few grand.
