Who has State Farm Insurance?

For those of who are State Farm policy holders, have you experienced an increase in premiums lately? When I paid in August it went up $80, and now for February it went up $80 again. This is crazy. When I called the agent's office the lady I was talking to told me "well, your're 19 years old driving a 2012 Camaro, it's going to be expensive" which really made me upset. (I didn't let her know that)

I'm currently paying more money for insurance on the car at 19 then I was at 17, what is the deal? I also have all the discount that apply $2,227.12 worth per year, the lady said that I have every discount that they offer, I have no accidents and no tickets.

Pay to play, okay cool, but my car has lost 22% of its value and the insurance has increased. If it makes a difference both times it was the premium for collision that increased.

EDIT: I should probably also mention I'm paying $786 for 6 months with $500 collision, $250 comprehensive and 100k/300k liability.

These guys...

Also, I pay $200 a month. Almost double what it was for my previous car.

I have State Farm as well. I pay $75 a month for my Camaro( haven't seen an increase yet), I'm also 36 with no accidents, last ticket was 13 years ago. Insurance is tough when your young, premiums will always be higher unfortunately.

I have State Farm and they have had some rate increases. Your main problem is being 19. Shop around. I still find State Farm to be more than competitive even with the rate increases.

They pretty much all do this. They get you in on a super low rate to switch, then slowly jack up your rate at each renewal. When asked, the standard response is "The rates for coverage has gone up in your area due to claims made". They all suck for remember, they are in the business to take your money, not give you any.

Progressive was by far the worst I've ever had. Gotta keep old Flo on the payroll somehow.

State Farm here.

2011 Camaro 2SS Convertible = $295 every 6 months
1996 Corvette Coupe = $197 every 6 months

The Camaro policy just came up for renewal this month, and it was the same price as I paid last time.

State Farm.

22 years old, one speeding ticket, no accidents.

Full coverage on a 2003 GMC Envoy = $2000/year. Hurts but it is what it is.

I've got it, 110 a month. I haven't noticed an increase, but then again it's been in storage, so it's currently costing me 0.

2012 TF3 M6, 56 yrs old, less than 7500 miles pleasure annually, $48/mo. $250 ded col, $0 ded comp. 100k/300k. I have 5 vehicles and homeowners with SF. OnStar discount. (The discount covers the OnStar since I negotiated it down in price, suspended now for storage)

Sucks to be young. I remember when I got raped on ins. as well.

Do you save a bunch by switching to a <7500 miles/year policy? My Envoy is basically a weekend car since I have a state-issued vehicle for the work week. The most I ever do in a month is 500 miles.

I used to have State Farm but they couldn't beat USAA with the coverage that I want even with all of their discounts. I'm at $106 a month right now. I feel your pain though. When I was your age (there's a phrase that makes me feel old, I'm only 27 d@^nit!), I had a '99 Camaro V6 and was paying $236 a month through State Farm with discounts, no tickets or accidents.

Wow! I pay $700 less than that a year for a ZL1 and a Raptor combined. Actually, I'm still $150 less if I add my wife's 12 Grand Cherokee.
