calm down.. calm down...

this is like asking whats better chevy or ford (we all know chevy) completely opinion based question. first you need to determine your budget. a decent alarm can start about 200 and go up all depends on the features you want. next you have plenty of brands out there. as a previous professional installer i have personally installed almost all major brands dei(viper, python, clifford), autopage, compustar, audiovox, and even the china ebay brands. all have their positives and negatives.

the rule of thumb that i like to use is. you can take a cheap alarm and have a great install and be trouble free or you can take the best alarm and have a hack install and have issues.

Most of all car alarm brands are a subsidiary of DEI. It doesn't matter which brand you chose, most of them come from the same manufacturer. I have the Viper Smart-Start system (remote start on my manual transmission). I paid over $900 on it though. I can track the location of my ZL1 on my iPhone and iPad and also arm/disarm/open the trunk from my devices as well.
