Res Delete?

I'm looking for a little more louder and meaner sound for my car but I don't want any more rasp. Do you think a Res delete would sound fine with my mods?

BBK LT Headers w/ Cats
Magnaflow Res X Pipe
Flowmaster American Thunder Axle Back

taking out the resonators will certainly make it louder.
I have longtube headers mated with a magnaflow x pipe and no res and mrt v2 axleback. It sounds niiiiicccccceeeee. One problem I had when I did this project was that the tone was too raspy and then my muffler guy recommended an x pipe muffler from magnaflow and it took away the rasp. Sounds mean as hell on start up and throughout the rpm range. I'll get around to posting a video once I get my hands on a good camera,

Good to know I can remove my resonators then if I get a chancethis year. At the moment I have OBX LT, had to add the Magnaflow Resonated X pipe since the RASP was so bad. All goes thru the MRT's.

Time to do some more cutting and add a section of pipe in its place.

I've been wanting to do a red delete myself. Mine has a real deep tone to it. But I want it louder, and headers are out of the question at the moment. I've just heard a lot of mixed opinions in the res delete, I just don't want any rasp.

So as long as I have the Magnaflow X pipe, which I do, I should be fine? I hate the rasp I had before, dont want it back.

yea im in the same boat as well.. just ordered the magnaflow x pipe.

i have bbk longtubes/hi flow cats, and a mrt-v1 as far as exhaust goes and the rasp and drone is crazy. but i love the volume. so my hope is that if deleting the res i can maintain a bit of volume but get a deeper sound. just would hate to buy a product i know works then pay to put it on etc.. then del the res and get rasp again.. would go insane.

keep me updated as im heading to the shop this week wondering if i keep them or chop them.

If you have the magnaflow resonated X to begin with, deleting the stock resonators shouldn't worry anyone too much in my opinion. Go for it.
