Doing ls3 swap in my 92,
Doing a ls3 swap in my 92.. anything I can do to wake up the ls3 a little without superchargers or turbos.. I know different motors have different things that make them tick and I don't know too much about the ls3.. just curious!

Go to the V8 bolt on section. Lots are getting near 500 rwhp with intake, headers, cam, and maybe some porting work. And tune of course.

haha will do.. already looked at some lsx intakes and throttle bodies and high flow fuel rails and stuff like that but I was looing into more of the machineing end of it, such as shaving block and porting heads just wanted to now if all of that would be nessasary on such a motor

How power do you want to make? I think in a 92 you'd be pretty happy with bolt ons. The LSX intake won't net you much power for the cost. A CAI, longtubes and a cam should be over 500 at the crank and much cheaper than doing internal work.

well with the weight and gearing set up of the car I think around low 500s would make a good power to weight ratio for my little car (not setting up for drag) more for road racing courses.. but sounds like simple bolt-ons should do the trick for what im looking for.. I was just curious as to any little power adding tricks for that motor but those should do fine and thans for the warning on the lsx intake!

I'm not sure if it's possible to deck the heads on these to bump the compression but it's already got a 10.7:1 but I guess if you could bump that to mid 11's it wouldn't hurt. Not sure how far you can go there without changing pistons though.
