2012 lt vs 2007 v6 mustang
Who wins? My friend is going to get an 07 v6 stang soon and wants to race. ON THE TRACK lol..
It would be completely stock. They have like what 200 hp? So it should be an easy win for me right?

Considering the current V6 mustang is only a few tenths faster then the current V6 camaro (and those have 300hp I believe) you would absolutely smash one of the 200hp models.

An old friend of mine had one with bolt ons, tune, and gears. Ran a consistent 14.7 lol

The engine in that mustang is a boat anchor. You'll have no issue with it.

No contest! 200hp Mustang vs 300+hp Camaro? They say that the 5th Gen V6 Camaros are almost as fast as the 4th Gen SS in a straight line which was killing GT Mustangs with more power than V6 Mustangs of that time.

Ummm no....just no! Not even close. Maybe if the driver of the SS doesn't know he's racing lol OP you really shouldnt have an issue with an 05-10 Mustang V6. Having said that when our local group had a track day in march there was an 07 V6 Mustang that was full bolt ons putting down the same times as a bolt on 12 V6 Camaro. Both were running 9.0-9.4. This was in the 1/8th I know in the 1/4 the Camaro would have pulled away. |

4.0 Mustangs are pretty much a joke.
A Stock V6 Camaro will beat a bolt-on 4.0 Mustang.

Not even close! 4th gen SS camaros ran low 13s on average, a good second faster then current V6s. Many have hit high 12s as well. Not even a race.

Yeah, our cars are vastly superior to the 4.0L Mustangs... the 3.7s are a challenge.

The V-6 Camaro is more of a challenge for the pre 11 GT than the V-6. 4.0 engine was used because it was cheap and reliable and gave decent MPGs, and it beat all of the 07 Camaros.
