OBDII Bluetooth Module

I am finally in need of a scanner and was wondering if anyone had a recommendation on a BT module. I will be using an Android device to check codes.

TIA

I bought that one and it doesnt work at all. Am I doing something wrong? The red light stays on but doesn't do anything.

Just ordered this.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005NL...4410060&sr=8-1
Has good reviews and know someone who has it, no issues on vette or Jeep. Although they all may work, there may be a slight lag time. Guess your going to be using the torque app. If you go to the app site, they recommend a few "scan tool" obdII bluetooth devices aroud $100. One site compared the circuit boards of the bafx to some of the cheaper devices. Appeared to be a positive difference in the bafx. Also ordered a right angle obdII splitter, an extension obdII cable for locating the port on the passenger side for my SCT tuner and an unrelated fire wire extenion for my wide band for logging. Forgot to order a phone mount for the car though. Order enough and you'll get free shipping.

It's bluetooth, should connect to any smart phone. Just a matter of if the software is available for your device or not.

Mike they all suck for the iPhone. I'm apple person myself, I have the plx kiwi 2 I run wireless to my ipad mini. The App I have is Dashcommand. It's not bad for checking codes, and letting your passenger see a live feed of your dash. But I wish we could get the Torq App for apple products.

I will be using the Torq app and I have been looking at the BAFX products.

Thank for the info.

I had to buy a wifi model for a iphone, although it may have just been the app I was using.

Find the app you want to use on the phone and it will normally tell you which one it works with.

Got an innovate OT-2 on the camaro and an ELM327 on the Dodge Magnum - both are wireless and feed into dashcommand and/or logworks (iPhone/iPad/PC)

Both devices and apps work like a charm - dashcommand is highly customizable.

None of the apps above can read knock retard though. None of the stuff replaces a proper scanner such as HPTuners, SCT or Diablo - but for reading and logging almost any of the relevant parameters they work just fine!
