Advice: how best to market 2014 Z/28 #170

Long time, no post... Over the past few years I've had debilitating knee injuries that resulted in surgeries to replace both knees. Between that and COVID my ability to use & enjoy my Z/28 has diminished to the point where I'm considering selling it. For reference the car is white with 3,400 miles, and has had light track usage (two events at COTA). It's currently in Austin, TX.

My questions are below, and please forgive me if any of these sound newb-ish -- I've been out of the loop for awhile:

1. What are the best places to market the car?
2. Its currently set up with Finspeed track wheels & tires, a bolted-in Sparco drivers seat, and 5-point harnesses on both sides. The rear seat was replaced by a parcel shelf, and I have all the original parts. Should I remove those mods or try to sell as-is?
3. I probably have around $7,500 in parts -- an extra set of Finspeed wheels and a complete Detroit Speed suspension kit. The car has the Detroit Speed rear mods with the original DSSV setup in front. I'd like to sell everything as a package but would it be better to split out the extra parts?

THANKS, in advance, for whatever advice or input you can offer!

I'm thinking your 1st step should be to list it here AS IS. A low mile Z can bring some fairly good coin but I think your mods will drive the price down a bit unless you can find somebody that is looking for a Z/28 for track duty. Unfortunately there are plenty of Chevrolet models that are excellent track vehicles but don't have unique (and somewhat pricey) items to repair or replace. GLWS!

Being completely stock would net best results.

If I had $75k I’d buy it from you. Looks like a great car and the mods are all good and reversible, but now the people who want these cars for good money are wanting 100% stock cars and most likely are speculating on them going up. Yours being such low miles is a great plus, but would bring most as stock, especially somewhere like bring a trailer.

If it was my car and I was trying to get max.. I’d delete anything with vin or # or anything, return car to stock and put it on medium or bat

Those mods don't hurt the value of the car. If he'd delete the VIN no one would ever buy it.

Frankly I wouldn't buy another Z/28 and if the heads werent addressed. Mods wouldn't scare me.

People want stock cars. With zero mods. Watch the corvette world. Z28s are rare and a lot of people are buying and speculating. But have to be completely stock cars.

And did you think I ment delete vin from the car? lol. Delete the vin or any identifying things from any posts.

I have been watching the C6 Z06/ZR1 market. Mods do not hurt the value of those cars. Maybe it's just those particular cars.

I guess you didnt need too many tips that sold quickly. Did the buyer take all the extra parts you had for sale? Is there anything left over from the car you are trying to sell?

Well, luck certainly helps! I found the right buyer at the right time -- and sold the entire package at once.
