Allocation Issues

Well Damn, My Order (March 8th) is in serious limbo due to the fact that Chevrolet has Allocation number's for dealer's, and the dealer I chose to go through is very LOW on the list.

Although, I do have someone with in GM Management trying to get additional info, I feel that I am in a very poor situation.
If The fine gentleman cannot do anything for me, or push the numbers, then I may have to go elsewhere and make a new order. And then, it will be another waiting game. Delivery in the Winter? In Colorado? That will truly truly SUCK! :(

And yet, I also understand it somewhat, let the high end rich dealer's that sell the big numbers, get the early opportunity. I understand. Keep the Small town quiet dealers small and quiet.

DAMN. And yet, this is the way it has to go. And I have to wait.
I knew I should have ordered it last December!!!!

Thanks for letting me vent.

Could this alocation thing be holding up my IOM 2LT RS . My order went in October 13th . No one can tell me where mine is or why I don,t have it yet . I live in New York and don,t want it in October . I have used every angle I know of to find what is holding up mine . I am about ready to tell GM to cancel .

reason #1 why I went to the biggest dealer around to order mine. I figured they would have the shortest wait.

Im sorry man, that sucks :(

But as far as small towns go, the dealer I ordered from, while I wouldn't say a small dealer, is definitely located in a small town with a population of maybe a few thousand.

Made the order June 18, got a TPW for 8/10, so my ABM should be here by late august to early september.

Thats pretty dang quick considering lots of other stories on here...Im happy!

Guess it could be an allocation issue, but that would mean your dealer had taken TONS of orders before you which isn't very likely considering you ordered way back in October and still hasn't been able to submit your order. Something is up...maybe your dealer hasn't put in the order, or GM just put your dealer lower on the priority list.

Either way, I hate to say it because I know it would be hard for me to do, but I'd say start looking for one currently available that matches your order or is close, and go buy her! Then cancel your order.

Not really ... with an 8/10 TPW by the time he gets the car... that will be about 10-12 weeks. Not cool

My order went in at 8:07 the 13th of Oct . I got my packet with the Sangyup Lee picture and order number in March of this year . My dealer was alocated to get 2 last october . I have written , called , emailed once a week since april to get nothing but lip service from their trained monkies . I havn,t done a thing in the last 3 weeks because they have wore me out trying to get answers . I have waited for this car since 1968 when I was to get a HUGGER ORANGE Z28 but got drafted and did the southeast asia thing and never got it . I GIVE UP !

I am so sorry for you, I think that you need to find a dealer that has the Allocation # to get you the car of your dreams.

And some states have higher priorities, it sucks but keep the faith to get one in your garage whatever it takes.

I'm @ 1100 after 6+ weeks - was hoping it'd be speeding up, but still seems to be rather stagnant after seeing all the other people who had placed orders in around the same time as me and already 3000+ in the line.

I think i'm in sort of the same situation with my dealership. Looking at spasticsquirrel my dealership hasnt had a sticker since 5/6, and 4 total.

Then again, my dealership doesnt seem to show up when you do a car search on GM.com. I so should have ordered from either Kenny Ross or Tom Henry.

Hate to ruin your big dealer small dealer idea. We ony had 1 sold order. It was placed in November and was deliverd on the 8th of July. We have in that time recieved 2 others and our 4th a red 2SS is being built next week or 5th is set for production on Aug 17. Has your dealers got any Camaro's yet? If not they may be closing and dont want to tell the customers. Even as small as we are we have been allocated a Camaro every month for the last 3 months. Bryan2230 My dealer also does not show on GM the reason is some dealers dont want to pay Gm the money they think its worth to do that.

Hey don't feel lonely.... I ordered May 9th (10 weeks ago) ... I'm still at 1100, but I have hope! I am #11 in my dealer's production cue, they are getting 11 allocations this month (btw, they are a fairly big dealership) .... now with the SS M6 tranny constraint I "should" move up to the #4 spot since there are 7 SS M6's ahead of me!! Woo Hoo!!

Sorry bout that guys............ but I am soooo excited that I "might" get to go into production anyday now!

Don't give up.... I have a feeling your dealership may be closing... so, find a dealership that has open allocations & reorder. Or search to find one already built, they are out there.

Good luck!
