Who ordered from Friendly?
I'm trying to find out if anyone here has received their Camaro from Friendly Chevrolet in Dallas. I ordered mine there on 06/16, and I'm just not sure if I made the right choice going there. I'm paying cash and I cut a check for 10% to hold the order. The price was great ($35,558 OTD) for a CGM 1SS/RS with sunroof! However, with all of the horror stories I have read on the forum about other dealers pulling bait and switches I am starting to worry. Let me know about your experiences if you have ordered through them. I'm not trying to bash them by any means, I just want some reassurance that I made the right choice.

After doing a search, I only found one other person who ordered from Friendly in Dallas and he was quoted MSRP which I definitely hope to be true since this is what I was told back before the ordering process began.

Thanks for the offer, but I specifically want CGM with grey interior and a sunroof. If you happen to come across one of those I will drive out there immediately.

i ordered from Friendly as well on Jun 26. Stan the Man helped me and i feel like i was taken care of, but i called for order codes and no one there seemed knowledgeable.
all and all, i got MSRP. they didn't go for any of the incentives or rebates i was entitled to, but 6-8 weeks is alot better than the other dealers times i've heard |

there's about 3 or 4 GM rebates that apply to the 2010 camaro. i was eligible for the USAA discount for about $1000. i also could get a military discount for $1000. but all the incentives are up to the dealership to honor. Friendly basically told me i'm lucky to be getting MSRP. couldn't argue with that. i spoke with other dealerships that did honor the incentives, but drive hundreds of miles and wait longer for 2000 bucks off? i'll stick with Friendly.

Congrats on the news NativeTexan, when did you place your original order? As for general knowledge about the Camaro, I would have to agree with dieautobot so far. Either way, I bought my first Camaro from Friendly, so it just seemed right. Can't wait to go to a cruise in with all of you once our cars get here, keep me posted.

I'm waiting for a response to that question as I reply to your comment; So far I've been told it has something to do about just now getting into full production. I know the last GM car I ordered took seven weeks to get here. I've not seen the AMB in person; Is it supposed to be the same light metallic blue of the '67/68 Camaros? It'd look great with the white nose stripe like the early Camaros! |

From what I'm being told, most dealers' in-stock cars are selling above MSRP, but the customer ordered cars are going for MSRP.
