Results on the Magnaflow Resonated X Pipe install on my camaro *UPDATED*
DEFINITELY got rid of the rasp from my setup which was LT Headers, no cats, muffler delete. Sounded good but unfortunately was MUCH too quiet. Just ordered the Magnaflow TruX X-Pipe along with two Bullet Mufflers from Dynomax. Will report back with the results!
FYI anyone want a Magnaflow Resonated X pipe that has been used for about 30 miles? lol Edit: here is a video showing the sound. When I had just a muffler delete it was louder than everything I have now Also sorry for the skinny orientation. Always forget to turn phone Here is the results of taking off the Magnaflow Resonated X Pipe and replacing it with their TruX X Pipe. I am MUCH more satisfied with the volume of this. Just a FYI videos don't do this setup justice! Also please note I decided not to go with the Dynomax Bullet Mufflers. This is just a straight pipe setup Last edited by FaytalsCamaro; 05-30-2014 at 10:00 PM. |

Will do. Won't be able to till maybe tomorrow morning. But to give you an idea it is in between a completely stock Camaro and a completely stock camaro that has a muffler delete.

Faytals, I could not have descried any better. I too went muffler delete then later added LT headers, dropped stock resonator, and installed resonated X. Drove it for 3-4 days and took it off and put on Tru-X.
Let me know how you like those mufflers.

I agree. The x-pipe cleaned up the sound, just the resonated one was too quiet so I went with tru-x

I have whats in the sig. Yes res x pipe took the sound down, what, 30 %? Also the clear rich sound is deeper and muffled.Wish there was a inbetween remedy, but without the x pipe it was for me, to loud, and the decel pop was way to much

It's not that the resonated pipe is bad by any means. It's just too quiet for my taste. If I had to put a description about how loud it is I would put it in between a completely stock SS and one with nothing else done except a muffler delete. For me it is too quiet. I want much louder. Actually I'll try and have a video up in a moment to show it in action

I was actually really surprised how much it quieted things down. It's not a bad thing...just not my thing

Yes but I have no resonators just the stock mufflers. This thing sounds like a race car. Don't want my neighbours flipping out. I thought that maybe because I don't have any resonators the resonated x pipe would be the best choice. I like loud...just not this loud
