Does anyone have a picture or video of where the clips go on the guards? Anyone have any problems with the clips scratching their paint?

I am brain damaged when it comes to this stuff. Thanks.

I used 3m double side tape - I am very happy with results.

hey now,

sorry no pictures yet, i just did this in the last week or so.

i wish there was directions for them as well , but i used the prongs / fangs on th rock guard (put some nice scratches on it)and the flat piece on the metal lip of the car. it looks ok but there is some gaps i may redo it with the heavy duty 3m double sided tape with the clip as well.

Yep, me too. I didn't like the clips and felt they scratched the paint. Used 3M double sided tape and they haven't budged.

I couldn't get the 3m tape to last on mine without clips. I use both so the 3m seals things up. I put a strip of clear bra on the back side of the fender to protect it from the clip.

The length of the guard. It has to be a very clean surface in order to seal well. I used rubbing alcohol to clean both the fender lip and the guard before applying the tape. Put the tape on the fender lip first, leaving the backing in place on the exposed side. Install the guard using the screws so it's lined up, then pull the backing off the and press firmly in place.

So what is the advice here - have a ZL1 on the way and want to try to protect the paint.

Not too thrilled with film protection so looking at rock guards.

Do you get front and back?

Which are the best ones?

I don't want to modify (drill holes) or otherwise scratch the car - do any just use existing factory bolts?
