leather seat care, what should I use?

This is the first car that I have had to worry about the seat material before, and I figure it’s about time to take care of the inside.

This is a seasonal driver so UV damage and also mileage on the car is minimal. I am more worried about having the leather dry out and crack over anything else.

Can anyone recommend a good cleaner and conditioner or the 2 in 1 kind for cleaning and protecting black leather seats?

Do I have to worry about protecting the suede as well.

Thanks

That being said I need to see what to use on the sueded center parts of the seat. This is my first car that had that. The above products are what I would use on the smooth leather.

Me too. BMW recommends it on its leather. I've been using it for 10 years.

I use Lexol on my seats and my motorcycle racing suit. My wife uses it on all her saddles and bridles.

I've never used what was mentioned above so I can't comment on that but I use Adam's Polishes Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. You can use it on pretty much any surface in your car and it has SPF 65 UV protection in it as well.

The leather is coated so a mild cleaner as mentioned will keep them free of
Body oils and other gunk. Spray the cleaner on a micro fiber and wipe the leather or if you wish spray it on a detail brush to agitate the cleaner on the surface of the leather then wipe with a clean microfiber. Do NOT use leather cleaner on the microfiber suede surfaces this would cause discoloration. The micro fiber should be brushed with a soft boars hair interior brush and vacuumed. If you see mild stains Sonax makes a fantastic cleaner for micro fiber suede and it is extremely gentile. Adams upholstery cleaner is also a good mild cleaner that I like.
