Brake Pad Recommendation for ZL1?

Anyone have a brake pad recommendation for the ZL1? I tried a third party one - not sure the name other than it had the word "World" in the name. They failed miserably - caused an overheat condition and total break fade. They also started to score my rotors. I'm removing them in favour of OEM or better. (These last ones were advertised as OEM or better... UGH).

Even on the road, these other pads seemed a bit off.

Thanks.

Hawks ceramics if you don't track the car. I think they make great OEM pads also. Contact JDP, I think they have them.

"All around" as in track and street? I'm seeing the HP Plus pad is noisy. Any comments on that?

I run the hp plus pads on my ls1 z28. It sees both track and street driving.

They work great, but dust alot!

HP+ are a good compromise pad for street/track use. I use DTC60s and they dust like crazy but have incredible bite.

I just put the hawk ceramics on mine. Almost completely eliminates brake dust and I have noticed no noises and braking seems to be just as good as my stock brembos were.
Highly recommend them.

There's plenty of threads on here with comments that there is no such thing as a pad good on the track and the street (although if you can tolerate the noise and the dust, many track pads will work ok on the street), so I won't go there.

Amazon has a 20% off coupon on their AC Delco pads, I just ordered a spare set of the stock OEM pads. These are by no means great track pads, but for the street, autocross, and light tracking, they seems to be a decent compromise, and now on sale. From reading here, if you have a track that is hard on brakes, or are a beyond beginner driver, you'll something more track oriented though.

You weren't wrong, ZL1Bullet - "brake" is the proper word.

Amazing how quick this car eats tires and brakes. Less than 10K miles and I need both. Does anyone know the part number for the OE AC Delco front pads?
