no start after complete swap on 2012 camaro ss

Hey all, my brother purchased a flood damaged 2010 camaro ss from the auction and completely gutted the car of everything to a bare shell

He purchased a 2012 ss manual that was a rollover but still ran and drove. Everything was carefully removed from the 2012 ls3 manual and placed into the 2010 bare shell. Im talking every wire, every module, every nut bolt and accessory down to the fuel tank. Nothing was left or used from the flood car.

He drove the donor into the bay at his shop and did the swap very meticulously. Now when he went to attempt to crank it he is having an issue. All the lights come on when the key is turned to accessory then go off except the t/c and stabilitrac and airbag light. The radio does not come on, the door chimes dont come on, the dome light does not come on and windows dont work nor door locks. The car is not in security mode but is not powereing 5 fuses under the hood that all have to do with ignition. No fuel pump coming on etc.

He went over everything several times and nu such luck. Everything is out of the same car but was left unplugged for maybe a month. Any help is appreciated thanks

Sorry wish I could tell right off what the problem is but,.......what has worked for me is....first recheck the oblivious, simple things, grounds, connections....I'm sure you have many times, do it again....
It worked before and you carefully installed it...it has to be something simple. Divide and conquer.
It will come to you.......good luck!

Take power straight to the those 5 fuse to power them up and see if it starts....that way you know for sure the car runs...than you can back track and see why or what is the reason those 5 aren't working....and i know hondas had to run same ignition key with same ecu, cause the key was coded to that ecu.

The Camaro needs matched ECU, BCU and keys. They all check each other. When I replaced the ECU the BCU needed to be reflashed to start.

Yes but it is all out of the same car. Everything including column, keys and modules out of the same 2012 donor.

have you tried a code reader on it? see if any codes are coming up, might point in the right direction to look at.

Man that is a big undertaking, good luck to you, if you were here I know a guy that does advanced diagnostics and has unbelievable equipment, that’s all he does. Could be a wire backed out of a connector, missing fuse, something very simple is EZ to overlook. I take many late model dash out to service AC and pray everything works when I’m finished LOL.

Do you have full wiring diagrams for the 12, that is where I would be looking, best of luck.

My guess would be either ignition, or transmission/shifter related. All of those connectors can easily get bent or damaged and possibly ground out.
