General FWD drive-train advice please

My 2008 Cadillac DTS has lost the transmission. I swapped motors and transmissions on the older W body (Regal, Cutlass Supreme, Grand Prix, and Lumina) 14+ years ago. Has much changed on these FWD GMs? Are things easier or harder being in the electronic age?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

They have FWD caddies? Anyway for FWD I don't think much has changed over the years when it comes to removing the transmissions. I changed out the clutch in my 02 Focus in 2006. Pretty straight forward. It recommended removing the subframe on the car which I only loosened and was able to get the transmission out.

I'm not familiar with GM fwd, it could be a bit more crowded under there requiring you to move anything in the way, out of the way. But beyond that it wouldn't be a very hard task to do the transmission. FWD will always be a bitch though compared to rwd.
