Changing drop, springs or coilovers
My 2010 ss has h&r 1.8 front 1.7 rear springs, car came with them. Ride is fine, even on 22s, but I'm tired of having to baby the car to not scrape. Recently I hit a possum and broke the tab holding the bumper on the fender, car has t3 ports etc and insurance is giving me $2300, so I will do a oem zl1 bumper this time, but wanting to raise the car some, I'm not sure how long it's been on the h&r springs so if I do new ones, new struts are probably more cost effective to do at same time, but then price gets close to coilovers... So my question is, if price is close, would coilovers be a better option? I do probably 75% freeway 25% city, track, none so far and if I do, maybe once a year. Was thinking maybe bc coilovers, nothing crazy, just the basic ones around $900 or Megan brand.
