front tire question

I'm upgrading to 20x10s up front and 20x11s in the rear in the next couple of months. Is there any reason I can't run 275/40/20s on the front tires?

I currently have 20x10s in the rear and that's the tire size that's on them now.

Car is just a weekend cruiser. No Auto-X, rare track visits, just cruising.

it all depends on the offsets of your wheels for clearance. I run 305/30/19s upfront

Clearance won't be an issue.

an easy way to find out......on one side, swap out the wheels (front to back, duh) and see if your current rears will fit with no rubbing, make sure you turn the wheel both ways and lock to lock.....if nothing rubs anywhere, your good to go.

OH and btw......I'm just down the road from you.....I'm in West Columbia!

Nice, small world! If you ever see a black 14 SS with yellow calipers and is crazy loud. That's me. LOL

I believe the backspacing on my rear 20x10s is different that the 20x10s that I'll be putting on the front when I upgrade wheels. (+23mm offset vs +35mm offset.)

My question wasn't really a "will it fit" question, it was more "is anyone running a 275 tire on a 10in wide wheel on the front." And if so, what's their feedback.
