Ford excursion vs 2011 Camaro SS
My friend told me his boss with a ford excursion is making about 900 hp and 1200 tq lifted with big rims and tires still unsure if he is really putting that much (friend is a kind of guy who thinks any truck or diesel will take me) will take my Camaro. I have a 2011 Camaro SS M6 with Vararam, stainless work longtube headers with stainless works retro cat back performance connect still untune until a dyno opens up. Already taken a 2014 tundra tss out whom he said also would beat me by alot of car length (to much to bother counting) so who would win the race.

I just ran a 760 hp 1000ftlb ram 2500 diesel with my 14 Ss sedan ls3 12.60 112 mph auto ...the truck came out of the hole in 4 wheel locked on 37s with me and stayed until top 2 early 3rd gear then I put a about 3 LENTHS shift4 let off ..7000 lb truck very respectable he said he ran 12.80 108 at the track so use it as a gauge ..I'm at sea level ny...my 1le stock was a tight run with my 14 SS .the car is an over achiever in my eyes it never fails to surprise me ..don't forget it's an LS3 not l99 in its a really a beast but tends to pull like freight train up top ..good luck ..just don't let him get out on you playing catch up is a real pain in the ass...I have lost to 11.50 cars on the street with a 07 Shelby gt fully built 4.6 730 hp HC-Supercharged 10.20 on DR car I have that if it doesn't hook in the beginning it black tracks to 100 mph and is just useless.....he is going to lock 4 wheel and brake boost so expect that torque to pull that thing 0-70 like a bullet then weigh drag coefficient and parasitic loss and weight to be on your side ..if your with him 800 ft out you should pull it out ..

The Excursion will easily beat you from a start and probably up to about 100 MPH or so (assuming it's 4WD).

I agree. He'll either stay with you or pull you out of the hole. Around the 80-100 mph mark is when things will change pretty quickly in your favor if you've got the distance left. If it was me, I'd launch using the midrange around 4800 and let the LS3 work its magic up top. It's really a wonderful engine when you let her sing and dance between 5-6k. I'd use competitve mode too in my case. All nannies off and traction would be a problem with the continentals I have on.
