Question on ECM's etc
OK, I've been following the threads on the L99 power issue and solution. You guys are amazing - not just those with the troubles that stuck it out and found a solution but all the others as well. Man I wish I had some of the knowlege you guys do.
Anyhoooooooooooooooooooo, along the way there were lots of posts about LTFT's, and the like and how the ECM learns as it goes. I drive the thing like a pansy - I've never liked to really pound the hell out of a gorgeous vehicle even though I know it's built for it. My question is this: by driving it like someone's grandma, am I teaching it to be a pansy? I mean, I don't wanna get beat by a girl (like someone else on here) |

So what's the solution? Just mash it once in a while? Or just drive it harder than I normally would?

Well why bother? If you drive like a pansy, why should your car act differently? My only recommendation would be to get into the some high rpm's once in a while.

Oh, I'm not saying I never get into it. I actually crossed that bridge a few days ago when I convinced myself that I'm not hurting it and there was no point in having a car like this if I didn't light it up once in a while.
But in traffic or pulling away from lights etc, I don't usually hit it hard. |
