I was waiting for someone else to chime in as I'm also interested as well in this. I have a 2010 ss ls3 with 3.91 gears. For the reaction time you need to go on the last yellow light. By the time the car moves the light will be green. On launching, I'll usually rev up to 2500 and have my clutch pedal to where you can feel it starting to grab and hold it there till last yellow light. When you do release the clutch don't floor it. Get it to half throttle then 3/4 throttle then full throttle. This is done pretty fast though. Basically when you feel the car has full traction haul ass. This is what I've read so far anyways. I'm still practicing. My best 60' is a 2.16

theres a thread on this already. look in this section and scroll down. basically you slip your clutch at 2500-2800 rpm and roll into it. it takes practice i went from a 2.2 60' to a 1.9. still learning. if ur clutch hits the floor then you have to get the GTO reservoir

Camarosspower is correct, what most beginners do not know is to leave on the last yellow. If you see the light turn green then you are late.
