Onstar?

Do we get Onstar for a year for free, or just Navigation? Because on my account it just shows navigation, not the safe and sound plan. also the diagnostics, it hasn't been updated since purchase of car which was 10/24/09.. it still shows i have 30 miles on it... Y hasn't it been updated? do i need to call?

ALSO ANOTHER ? ... On mapquest, you can send a route to onstar. once u do that how do you activate that route in the car?

Safe and Sound is standard with all cars that have OnStar. Your Camaro has the 'Navigation' upgrade, so it just shows that.

I would say that since you just got your car give it a little more time for everything to update, as far as miles and such. Takes a little bit of time for everything to go through.

well wen i set it up the first day, they asked if i wanted an email and all that and i said yes. so the first day they sent me an email with mileage and tire pressure. since then nothing has been updated... But already I'll wait a lil and see what happens.

Once you set the route in Mapquest and send it to Onstar you access it by pressing the phone button, say virtual advisor and then the route name tag you gave it. I've used it and it works great.

You have to set it up in your Account home page on OnStar, its not automatic from the Dealer's initial set-up as they need your email to send the report...

Nope, you are 100% correct...

OnStar emails me once a month on the same date each month...it corresponds to the date I got my car, i.e. I got my car on 5/19, so each month I get the diagnostic email around that date...-

Yes, of course it would have to be set up. Typically I enter the customer's email address in the system when I activate their OnStar.

Same for me I got the first email but nothing since. My odometer on onstar is 79 miles. I have over 2k miles now and had the car for almost 6 months.

You'll get another email around 11-24 then. I love the diagnostic emails. That could save you some cashola to know there's a problem early.

Got 1 email report and then nothing, except them calling me constantly to buy more services and phone time. No thanks, gonna let it expire when the trial is over.

on star is great! turn by turn directions and if you have a problem and you can't tell exactly where you are they know and can get you help.i was on empty stretch of road at 4 am on the 4th of July and had a biker wipe out in front of me.called on star the got the cops and medics right where we were.

That's weird. I always get mine around the same day of the month. I'd call them and get the emails. Might as well, it's free.

And that's weird - they haven't called me ONCE with advertising and I've had the car a month & a half. Do they call in your car?
